Nantes - Post-doctoral researcher in the history of medieval law  NEW
Maison des Sciences de l’Homme Ange Guépin (Nantes, France) Deadline: June 25th, 2012

The Maison des Sciences de l’Homme Ange Guépin (MSH, Nantes, France) is recruiting a post-doctoral researcher for work on the project “RELMIN: The legal status of religious minorities in the Euro-Mediterranean world (5th-16th centuries)” (www.relmin.eu) . RELMIN is based at the MSH and is directed by John Tolan, professor of history at the University of Nantes. It is funded for five years (2010-2015) as part of the Ideas programme of the European Research Council’s Seventh Framework Programme.

Application procedures: Applicants should send a preliminary application, consisting of a letter of interest, a curriculum vitae, and the names and addresses of three references. All documents should be sent in PDF format to: relmin@univ-nantes.fr. Examination of applications will begin on June 25th, 2012 and will continue until the position is filled.

Claudio Leonardi Fellowship of the Schindler Foundation for Medieval Latin Studies   NEW
The Claudio Leonardi Fellowship of the Zeno Karl Schindler Foundation for Medieval Latin Studies has been established to support scholarship in Medieval Latin Studies - in particular, research by young scholars - with a grant-in-aid in honor of Claudio Leonardi (1927-2009), founder and first president of SISMEL (Società internazionale per lo studio del Medio Evo latino – The International Society for Medieval Latin Studies). Applications should be submitted (with curriculum vitae, description of research project, and reason for research abroad) by September 1, 2012, via email to: Prof. Jean-Yves Tilliette, Langue et littérature latines médiévales, Université de Genève (Jean-Yves.Tilliette@unige.ch). Applications will then be submitted to the Governing Board of the Zeno Karl Schindler Foundation for evaluation during its fall meeting.



Istituto Italiano per gli Studi Storici - Borse di Studio: Storiche, Filosofiche e letterarie NEW
Concorso a borse di studio per l’anno accademico 2012-2013

L’Istituto italiano per gli studi storici bandisce anche quest'anno borse di studio annuali destinate a giovani laureati e dottori di ricerca, italiani e stranieri, in discipline storiche, filosofiche e letterarie. Le borse di studio messe a concorso, per laureati e dottori di ricerca che entro la data di scadenza del presente bando abbiano discusso la tesi di laurea magistrale o di dottorato e non abbiano compiuto il trentaduesimo anno di età, sono le seguenti:

a) quattordici borse dell’importo di € 11.500,00 ciascuna o di € 9.300,00 per i residenti nella Regione Campania;

b) una borsa intitolata a «Federico II» offerta dall’Università di Napoli per laureati nelle università italiane con una tesi di argomento medievistico, dell’importo di € 10.300,00.
